Melody Shellman

Melody enjoyed writing from an early age. Science fiction short stories and poetry were her favorite, though she was also quite fond of co-writing the next top hits for her neighborhood band. As she grew older, she became drawn to the sciences - to radios, robots, and rockets. In college, she studied Industrial Engineering and, after graduation, started working as a mathematical consultant. In this role, she used science and engineering to solve tough logistics problems, but, to be successful, she also had to refresh her writing skills to effectively communicate with her customers.

Although songwriting and poetry are no longer common in her day to day life, Melody’s experience in engineering and her enjoyment for writing sets her up to thrive as a technical communicator and storyteller.
